Redmayne View wins Gold Award
Redmayne View in Sprowston has won a Gold Award at the Elderly Accommodation Counsel (EAC) Awards 2019. The scheme is owned by Clarion Housing and NorseCare provides care and support to the tenants who live independently in their own flats.
They are one of just 300 to have won a top prize out of almost 25,000 retirement housing schemes or developments nationwide.
The awards celebrate the best specialist housing for older people and aim to help shape the future of housing in later life. Residents, staff, visitors and volunteers were all able to vote for their favourite scheme out of the 1,220 nominated between 15 November 2019 and 28 February 2019.

Sandra Spanton, Manager at Redmayne View is delighted: “We’re thrilled to have won this award as it’s an award that is voted for by the tenants, visitors and staff at the scheme. We have a really strong community spirit and everyone who lives here is really friendly and happy.”
John Galvin, EAC’s Chief Executive, explained the importance of the awards: “Specialist housing for older people plays an enormously significant role in helping them stay independent for longer. The security, support and great communities have a positive impact on individuals and reduce the need for NHS services.”
