Leonard Boxall, who lives at Linden Court in Watton, celebrates his 100th birthday on Friday 5th April. Len was a Grenadier Guard and recently had his lifetime wish of wearing the ceremonial dress of the Guards, courtesy of Steve Hayes and Terry McLenahan of the Norfolk Association of The Grenadier guards.
Residents, families and staff from Munhaven care home in Mundesley, North Norfolk are celebrating after a national review website recognised them as one of the top 20 care homes in the East of England. The home was also recognised in the same awards in 2017.
Redmayne View in Sprowston has won a Gold Award at the Elderly Accommodation Counsel (EAC) Awards 2019. The scheme is owned by Clarion Housing and NorseCare provides care and support to the tenants who live independently in their own flats.
Residents at our homes have benefited from a £20,000 grant from Comic Relief’s Health and Wellbeing for Stronger Communities Fund. The grant has been used to develop the skills and confidence of staff in residential care homes, supporting residents to take part in person-centered activities and exercise, having fun, keeping healthy and active and playing a valuable part in the life of their community.
A lifelong Norwich City fan celebrated his 90th birthday with a trip to Norwich City Football Club. Leslie Fitt, known as ‘Ginger’, lives at Green Lane View in Aylsham and has been a Norwich City supporter all his life.
