St Augustine’s Place managers take on 50-mile cycling challenge

The management team at NorseCare’s St Augustine’s Place have planned a special fundraiser to support their tenants

On Friday 7 October, Danielle Bullent, Manager, and Linda Harris, Deputy Manager, will cycle over 50 miles to raise money for St Augustine’s Place Tenant Amenity Fund.

Their route will take them from St Augustine’s Place to the NorseCare head office at Fifers Lane in Norwich, and back again. They will stop off along the way at NorseCare care homes and housing with care schemes, including The Lawns, Sydney House, Rose Meadow, Redmayne View, Mountfield, Ellacombe, Harriet Court and Lydia Eva Court.

When talking about the cycling challenge, Danielle said:

“We are raising money for our amenity fund. The amenity fund supports tenants to live a fulfilled, enjoyable life with trips out, social events and in-house entertainment.

We have set ourselves a tough challenge of cycling 50+ miles in one day from St Augustine’s Place to the NorseCare head office in Norwich, and back again! We will stop at a few other NorseCare homes and schemes during our ride for support.

The money raised will be invaluable to everyone here and much appreciated. The tenants are looking forward to our challenge and are planning a surprise for our return.”
