Ellacombe care home
Ellacombe is our residential care home nestled in the Thorpe Hamlet area close to the centre of Norwich. The home provides short-term and full-time care and support, specialising in care and support for people living with dementia.
At the home we pride ourselves on providing person-centred care and support. All residents have their own room, many with ensuite facilities, and there are communal living rooms, dining rooms and secluded gardens. We also provide a varied programme of activities and events, helping our residents to be as involved as they wish. We are proud to be part of the local Thorpe and Norwich community and welcome visitors to the home.
I have been in the care sector for over 30 years, starting as a care assistant, and have managed care homes for more than 15 years. I have found that my passion and interest is in dementia care and I love the rewards that come with this. I am a Dementia Mapper and Dementia Champion and always strive to improve the experience of those living with a dementia.
I became manager of Ellacombe in July 2020 having managed it for two years previously, and am excited about enhancing the experiences of those living here and supporting staff to provide outstanding care. I enjoy being part of a company that is a market leader and has a set of values focussed on assisting all our staff to achieve their goals, both personally and for residents and their loved ones.

Care home rating
“My mother has continually received a very high level of care and support. The carers and staff have looked after her with great consideration and attention to her needs, providing a comfortable and reassuring environment for her to be in. The food provided is always wholesome and nutritiously balanced. The cakes at teatime are a highlight! I am always welcomed on my visits and made to feel at home. I am updated on my mother’s health, activities and any concerns. Thank you for looking after her so well.”
