At the home we pride ourselves on providing person-centred care and support. All residents have their own room, many with ensuite facilities and there are communal living rooms, dining rooms and secluded gardens. We also provide a varied programme of activities and events, helping our residents to be as involved as they wish.

Westfields is a friendly residential care home in Swaffham, offering a warm and welcoming place to live. We provide residential care, respite care and end-of-life care. We get to know each resident and make sure the support they receive fits around their needs, routines and preferences. Whether someone is staying with us for a short time or living at Westfields long term, our team is there to provide the care and support they need.
Can I come to Westfields for a short stay?
Yes, of course. We offer respite care for short stays if you need a bit of extra support, are recovering from an illness, or your family carer needs some time off. It’s also a chance to spend some time at Westfields and see what you think before deciding if it’s the right place for you.
What are the rooms and facilities like?
Westfields has 45 private rooms, with 10 rooms offering en-suite facilities. Rooms come with a bedside cabinet, wardrobe and drawers, and residents are welcome to make their room feel like home. There are three lounges, as well as two smaller lounge areas with kitchenettes, giving people different places to sit and spend time. The home also has an enclosed garden and outdoor grounds, with a lift, handrails and accessible bathrooms to make getting around easier.
What are the meals like at Westfields?
Meals are freshly prepared at Westfields, with drinks and snacks available during the day. Residents can also use the pantry whenever they fancy something. We can cater for different dietary needs as well, so meals can be adapted to suit each person.
What do residents do during the day?
There are regular lively and engaging activities and events at Westfields, as well as day trips and outings into the local community. Residents can get involved in things they enjoy, spend time with others or simply take the day at their own pace. There is also a hair salon on site, and laundry services are available.
Can family and friends visit Westfields?
Family and friends are always welcome to visit and spend time with residents under our open door visiting policy. There is visitor parking at the home too, making visits easy and convenient. Staying connected with family, friends and the local community is an important part of life at Westfields.
Is Westfields close to Swaffham town centre?
Yes. Westfields is around half a mile from Swaffham Market Place, so the town centre is close by. There are also local buses, a community centre, museum and recreation facilities nearby. The home has strong links with the local community, and residents have opportunities to get out and about and stay connected with the area.
