NorseCare shortlisted for two national dementia care awards

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted as finalists in two categories at the National Dementia Care Awards 2019.

Munhaven care home in Mundesley and Surraya Mahmood have been shortlisted in the Best Dementia Care home and Best Activities Co-ordinator categories.

Munhaven was recently rewarded with an Outstanding CQC inspection report, one of only 10 care homes in Norfolk to achieve this recognition. The care home supports people living with dementia and was also been recognised in May 2019 as one of the best 20 care homes in East of England in the carehome.co.uk annual awards, based on independent reviews.

Surraya, who has been with NorseCare for 18 months, has implemented ideas and concepts throughout 35 care homes and housing with care schemes, leading a team of wellbeing co-ordinators to ensure that residents and tenants’ wellbeing is appropriate, person centred and meaningful.

Winners of the National Dementia Care Awards will be presented with their trophies at the high profile Gala Night being held on Thursday 7th November at Doncaster Racecourse attended by over 400 guests.
